Altastenberg at the Kahle Asten is the highest winter sports resort of the Hochsauerland. Especially the Westfalenhang I is one of the most famous ski slopes in the region. Directly next to it is the only recognised "FIS race piste" in the Sauerland with a 40 % gradient. The Westfalenhang II and the Brüchetalhang offer interesting medium-difficulty downhill runs. In addition to these challenging downhill runs, a wide range of skiing opportunities are also offered for beginners.
